How to transfer a simple tray into a decorative object

Decorating a tray as the basic object on a coffee table can be proven quite difficult. What should we place on it? What style should we choose? How many objects are enough or way too many? Where do we stop?

Our goal is always a beautifully decorated tray, which will have balanced elements and will not seem messy. A tray or a basket is a way to gather our “story” in a spot, so as all seem settled and tidy.

We always use a plant. Even if it is a low vase with a bouquet or a cachepot with a greenery, we should always choose plants of good quality, so they will not look fake, which is something that we are really considered about in our store.

Candleholders and tea lights in different sizes are also objects we add on a tray. They will give us a cozy and relaxed feeling, when we light them up at night.

We choose objects of different material and size as this will help our eye to travel through our story. Do not hesitate to combine bulky objects together with smaller ones, but do not overdo it. For an example, do not use a bulky vase with really tiny objects. Since we are talking about the coffee table, you should be careful not to use objects that are too big that block the TV view or the view of the person who is sitting on the other side.
